Hey guys,
I am still not working on my BA Thesis at the moment as I have to wait for an important book. But instead I am reading through all the fantastic blogs on blogger.com and check the latest news.
Additionally I watch TV, because as a cyclist I am very interested in the Race "Paris - Nice" which is one of the first great European races in the year. It takes place now in France and I watch it on Eurosport. Like the name already says, they cycle around 1000 km, starting in the cold Paris and drive through nearly whole France to the warm Mediterranean where the beautiful village Nice lies in eight days. Because of this the race is called "Race to the Spring". Its really interesting how the landscape now looks, very grey and brown, and what it is like in July when the "Tour de France" takes place.
So I am happy of being entertainted and hope for some warmer days outside, so that I can start my own training this year. And when I hopefully finished my BA Thesis, its time for the great races of the year, like "Giro d'Italia", "The Tour de France", "The Vuelta" in Spain and also the "Tour of California" which was much fun to watch last year, because they had a live internet stream.
Do you guys watch cycling? Is it on tv in yur country?
More infos can you find here: Paris - Nice

That's great to find another cyclist out here on the blogosphere :) I've had cycling (specifically racing) in my family for 3 generations and right now I went to my specific college specifically for cycling. And I watch it whenever I can, if you ever wanna talk about races then I'm open!
Everyone on the Tour de France is doped. so it´s no sport.
I watch some cycling races sometimes like Tour De France. Not my thing really though. But 1000km is a long race lol
I never seen cylcing on tv here but it would be awesome to experience cylcing in that race!
I haven't gone biking in years... :(
sometimes i watch cycling,im not all into it but its alrite
nice post though ;)
I do watch the tour de France when it's on tv.
My parents are really really into biking
Not that much into cycling here, though I probably should be since my country is pretty good at it, I hear. I'm Belgian btw. xD
I love cycling, but I can't watch it at all.
Watching cycling sounds pretty borring.
VEry Nice Blog dude !
Keep that good work!
not my thing to be fair
but hopefully its a good race for those that actually like it
1000km is crazy! I did 40-50km mountain biking before but nothing like that!
ahh.. paris to beautiful nice. I saw this movie called Brice de Nice, about a surfer from Nice. They make so many puns in that movie
nice post
I don't watch it, but I saw a great vimeo downhill run clip recently.
Did you catch it?
@Alphabeta: No I did not. Do you have a link?
Never watch it except for the Tour de France everyonce in a while
Don't get to watch much cycling, save the Tour de France.
That's a long way to cycle, they must get tired
Same as Steven, except I only watch a few takes and clips from Tour de France.
I don't think I could watch cycling on the TV. Not enough action.
I'm not too big on cycling, but it's always fun. Also, I'm pretty sure the U.S. has like every television channel possible...not sure if that's saying a good thing, lol. But yeah, we have it on tv.
Not much of a cyclist. More of a runner.
I like bike races. I can watch that shit for hours.
They are really fun. I enjoy cycling as well.
never watched cycling, but always respected the athletes, the ones that are not doping
I enjoy cycling but have not done any for far too many years. I did contemplate riding the 12 miles to work and back but everybody laughed, me included! I do watch the TdF when its on TV, when it ran through England a couple of years ago, it ran 100 yards from my house, that was cool, but over in literally seconds.
I love cycling, but I don't make way to look for it on TV.
If I come across a cycling event on TV I watch it. Ugh I really have the urge to cycle now...
I love biking, it's like meditation.
i don't know how people can cycle for so long. 30 minutes on a bike at the gym and my legs feel like jello after haha
I love cycling as is probably one of the most meditative forms of exercise once you get your second and third wind. I've never been much of a runner...
And they don't really show cycling down here in Costa Rica, everything is football down here...
Haha I also procrastinate on blogspot. I have an exam tomorrow and yet here I am.
Spain reporting in. We almost lost Contador but it looks like things are back on the right track. :3
Sounds like nascar without crashes.
i never watch it
:D Trelin, lolled.
Never really been interested in cycling unless I'm doing it myself.
Makes me want to get my bike out :P
Will check if ESPN has this. Has it started already?
Sounds like what racing should be - an actual course, instead of a boring closed loop like in Nascar. I'll have to see if it comes on around here.
By the way, I love the new interface for your blog.
Well, I currently do not have cable, and can only watch dvds. But when I did have television, I never saw anything.
never watched, can't remember the last time I watched something on tv to be honest
never watched cycling. nice new layout though!
Never watched it myself, and riding is way too tiresome. :p
I like this blog so I'm gonna give it a thumbs up in stumbleupon.
I love to cycle!
i do watch it!
but i prefer cyclo cross :) in belgium that is HUGE
I find cycling to be as boring as Formula 1 or Boxing, so..no, I don't watch it.
I like actually cycling as opposed to watching it :L
sweet post, thanks for sharing
I get always sleepy when watching cycling on tv.
Id love to get into some cycling myself
